If you want to remember Eastern (Silver) Gate, come to this restaurant first. Do not delay your visit ā seriously, the Mediterranean cuisine is waiting for you. Here you will be offered tasty octopus, peka and veal. The unique characteristic of Diocletian's Wine House is serving good che, panna cotta and ice cream. Take your chance to taste delicious house wine, white wine or beer. As a number of reviewers affirm, coffee is really great.
The convenient location of this place makes it easy to reach even in rush hours. The terrific staff at this spot can show how much they like their customers. The spectacular service is something these restaurateurs care about. Guests of this restaurant say that they found prices reasonable. The cute decor and calm atmosphere let clients feel relaxed here. Abbiamo chiesto al cameriere all'ingresso se c'era posto per 4. Dopo aver guardato con disgusto il nostro cane (un border collie bello ed educato) ci ha risposto in malo modo che aveva solo un tavolo da 6 (tra l'altro con 2 posti situati ad altezza diversa dagli altri 4 e dentro il locale c'erano molti posti liberi) per poi ridersela con la cameriera a fianco come per dire: hai visto come si trattano questi? Non ci siamo per niente: vivete grazie ai turisti, siatene consapevoli!!!

Have visited this charming restaurant as a couple. We were strolling through the old town and stumbled upon the Diocletian's wine house an decided to reserve our dinner there. We were caught by the inviting restaurant setting that echoes the authentic Dalmatian style and beautiful decor ornamented with colorful flowers in bloom. We were recommended to taste Peka menu so we pre-booked the menu since we decided to go with something traditional and authentic, and Peka was a reasonable choice that we eventually very much enjoyed. Beware to book your Peka menu at least 2.5 hours in advance since this traditional meal takes appr. 2 hours of preparation. Regular table reservation does not imply pre-booking but if you decide to take peka menu you need to pay in advance (40ā¬ per person/ online or in person). We treated ourselves to a few glasses of authentic Dalmatian wine since they offer more than 50 wine grapes so it would be a shame not to try typical Croatian wine. Would strongly recommend.
